Canoe-biketour/ Canou-hiketour

The camping is a nice base for all kinds of activities and days out. For example, you can join an adventurous canoe-biketour or canoe-hiketour. You leave in the morning with a canoe. After a lunch on the river ‘the Van' you bike or hike through nature, with an abundance of forest and water, back to the camping to finish the day.

Raftfishing

For whom likes fishing, we organize a collective fishingtour. We go on the lake in the evening with a big raft. It's no exception that we will see beavers during this tour. We prepare the fish that we catch on the barbeque that we take on the raft. You can also put back the fish you catch. We take care of coffee and tea. Of course you can also go fishing on your own at one of the many fishingwaters.

Meet the elks

In the surroundings there are many different bike-, hike- and canoetours (of which some take more than one day) so you can explore the surroundings extensively. With a bit of luck you will see elks, beavers fisheagles or other wildlive.
Our wild-life safari takes a whole evening. We will surge for elks and other animals.
We take a look at a beaver dam and we stop at some breath taking views. We try, with help of some fire sticks, to make our own fire near by a typical Swedish little lake. We enjoy the silence while we drink a cup of the or coffee.

Compasstours/ Raftbuilding

Being active and still enjoying nature in a relaxed way? Then, accompanied, you can build your own raft and drift on it on the lake ‘Örklingen'.
You can join a GPS-card-compasstour. In an adventurous tour you learn how to use these means.

Special children acitvities

There is a lot to do for children on the camping.

• Pirate day where they have to find a treasure with their pirate boat.
• Visit an old farm where they still live as in the old days.

Quad safari

Experience the quad safari which leads us threw the forrest, the small rivers en the steep hills.
For children and those who don’t want to drive there selves, can follow as a passenger. For driving the quad your self, a driving license is necessary.

Daytrips

The camping lies in a central position between three towns. These towns, Mora, Malung and Vansbro, are all situated about 35 km . from the camping. Especialy Mora is worth a visit. This is the most touristic town of the provence Dalarna and lies next to the lake Siljan .

‘Tomtenland' (the land of the Swedish Santa Claus) is a nice daytrip (especialy for the children) and is situated about 40 km . from the camping.

In Orsa (about 50 km . away) you can find the biggest bearpark off Europe . Next to bears you can also find wolves, lynxes, foxes and marters in their natural habitat.

At Leksand (about 60 km . away) you can find adventurepark ‘Sommarland'.

In Nusnäs (about 50 km . away) you can see how the original wooden ‘Dalarnahorses' are handmade.

At about 30 km . from the camping towards Mora-airport there is a cartingtrack.

In Vika (about 30 km . away) you can experience ‘dressin'. You cycle with a kind of bike on the traintracks.

At about 20 km . from the camping you can find the ‘Skogsmuseum'. Here they tell you all about foresting in the old days.

In Rättvik (about 80 km . away) you can go down on a toboggan slide in summer. Here you can also find the open-air theater ‘Dalhalla'.

In the provence of Dalarna there are many natureparks in which you can go hiking very nicely.

If you like sports, you can go golfing, horsebackriding (also on horses from Iceland ) and flyfishing in the surroundings. This is just a small part off the many activities and things to see nearby the camping. More information you can find on the camping.

A visit at the highest waterfalls of Sweden, “Njupeskär” is a very nice daytrip. Those are located at the “Fulufjället” nature reserve.
